Personal, Social and Emotional Development.
Good Personal, Social and Emotional Development are crucial for young children in all aspects of their lives including other areas of learning. It is very important that we make them feel good about themselves in order to build confidence and self esteem. Staff in the nursery school, work very hard to ensure that all children build good and supportive relationships with children and adults and that they develop good attitudes to learning for now and the future.
Communication, Language and Literacy
CLL includes speaking and listening, writing for a variety of purposes and recognizing writing as a means of communicating, through books and a range of other contexts Children are given many opportunities through their play to develop their speaking and listening skills in both their heritage language and in English. This area of learning develops understanding of number as labels for counting, calculating, and space, shapes and measures. Mathematical understanding is developed through stories, songs, rhymes, games and imaginative and creative play, so that children can enjoy using and experimenting with numbers.
Problem Solving, Reasoning and Numeracy

Creative Development
Being creative is an important part of successful learning as it helps children to extend their understanding by making connections between one area of learning and another. This area includes art, music, dance, role play and imaginative play.
Knowledge and Understanding of the World
In this area of learning children are developing all the knowledge, skills and understanding that will help them make sense of the world in which they live.
